Patients with chest pain or chest tightness are advised to ring 000 immediately.

Appointment
The standard appointment time is 15 minutes. New patients, please allow 30 minutes for your doctor to get to know you. These can be booked online or by calling us. Telehealth appointments and longer appointments can be booked by phoning 4633 5800.
Cancellations
If you are unable to make your appointment, please phone the practice as soon as you can so that we can offer the appointment to another patient and make another appointment for you.
Failing to attend an appointment (or cancelling within 2 hours of the appointment) will incur a $30 No-Show Fee, which must be paid prior to your next appointment. Thank you for your understanding.

Prescriptions
All prescriptions will require you to make an appointment with your doctor.

Referrals
.All referrals require an appointment with your doctor as per medicare guidelines.

Test Results
If your doctor has requested that you have X-rays or pathology tests, you will need to contact the practice for results at 4633 5800. These are usually available within 48 hours. Please call after 2 p.m.

Telephone Calls
Calls to the doctor disrupt private patient consultations. In most circumstances, the receptionist will be able to assist you. If the receptionist can not answer your query, then a message will be sent to your doctor. We will call you back once the doctor has responded.
Consent to Share Information
Bakers Family Medical Centre takes the protection of your health information seriously. If you wish your partner or family to have access to your health records, you must sign the Consent to Share Clinical/Medical Information Form, which is available from our Receptionists.
